Get involved

There is more than one way
to support those who serve.

Volunteer with WNYIA, or explore opportunities with a local fire or EMS organization. These are different paths, and each begins with a conversation.

Volunteer with WNYIA

Put your time and skills to work for the community.

Help support WNYIA's information, outreach, education, and community-service mission. Our team can discuss the roles available and the expectations for participation.

This opens our existing application. Applications, assessments, and follow-up continue through the established process.

Volunteer with local fire & EMS

Meet the organization serving your neighborhood.

A recruitment event or open house is a chance to ask questions and learn how you could help. Each department manages its own membership, requirements, and training.

Start with WNYIA’s interest questionnaire to explore local roles. Only participating fire companies manage their own official applications and acceptance decisions.

What happens next at WNYIA?

Use the existing application form and provide the information requested there.

  2. Follow the application instructions.

Complete any assessments or follow-up requested through WNYIA's established process.

  3. Connect with the team.

Questions about a role or an application? Email admin@wnyincidentalerts.com.

WNYIA volunteer duties do not authorize self-dispatch or access to incident scenes. Respect for responders, privacy, and established boundaries is central to our work.
